Tennis section

Playing sessions are supported by a committee member who structures play on court according to a peg system. Play normally consist of doubles games of 30 minutes each, with partners and opponents swapped every half hour. Over the winter months of October-April, sessions are from 10am-1pm twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. During the summer months of May-September sessions are on Tuesdays only, also 10am-1pm.

Mahjong

The Mahjong section of the British Games Club meets at 2pm on Tuesdays between October and April. Sessions are held at the Tennis Club Puerto de la Cruz, better known as Alvaro’s, in the El Botanico area of Puerto de la Cruz. New players are always welcome. Social events

BRITISH Games Club social, organises a number of events in and around Puerto de la Cruz throughout the year, including quiz nights, lunches, dinner-dances, shopping trips, tombolas and celebrations for special occasions such as Burns Night, Valentine’s Day, St Patrick’s Day, to name just a few.
